Car Center Console

GOAL: To design a sleek and intuitive center console user interface for a new Taiwan-based car equipment supplier, with the aim of enabling drivers and passengers to easily operate in-car equipment, such as the audio system, air conditioning, navigation, and other key functions.

Design

Day and Night Modes:

To enhance the user experience of the center console, I have designed two distinct modes, tailored for day and night use. With optimized brightness and color settings that are specifically calibrated to match the lighting conditions of each respective mode, drivers and passengers can comfortably operate the center console regardless of the time of day. These modes have been thoughtfully crafted to prevent any visual discomfort that may arise from poorly adjusted brightness or color settings.

Homepage:

The homepage design of this interface is optimized for usability and aesthetics. It features a simple and elegant layout that displays essential information for the user, including real-time information on their current location.

The navigation map and music player are also prominently displayed, allowing for easy access and control. The use of clear typography and icons ensures that users can quickly interpret the displayed information. The layout is optimized for ease of use, with each element thoughtfully positioned for maximum impact and accessibility. Overall, the homepage design provides a seamless user experience that effectively balances functionality and aesthetics.

Menu bar:

In this interface design, the vertical column of menu icons on the side has been intentionally crafted with simplicity and ease of use in mind, ensuring that users can effortlessly navigate to their desired pages. Additionally, the menu has been thoughtfully designed with a visual cue to distinguish the current page icon from the other icons, facilitating user awareness of their current location within the interface.

Air Conditioning Control:

The interface design allows for easy adjustment of the air conditioning settings for both the driver and passenger seats. Users can customize the temperature individually for each side, all within the same interface. The temperature slider and buttons feature a color scheme that changes according to the temperature settings, providing a visual cue for the user. This design ensures a comfortable and intuitive experience for all users, regardless of their individual temperature preferences.

Air Conditioning Buttons:

At the bottom of this interface, a row of elegant and realistic-looking buttons are designed to adjust the main functions of the air conditioning system, including auto on/off, air vent control, defogging for the front and rear windshields, and interior air circulation. These buttons are thoughtfully designed for easy recognition, allowing users to quickly identify which functions are turned on. The arrangement and visual hierarchy of these buttons are carefully planned to ensure intuitive use and enhance the overall user experience.
